Khao Sam Roi Yot National Park

In front of the entrance, there are two giant statues that guard the temple door, and behind the wall is a statue of Ganesha. Khao Kalok Beach

Khao Daeng Canal Cruise

You’ll have the opportunity to admire the beautiful mangrove forests of Khao Daeng Canal and observe the many different types of birds that call the area home. To take the cruise, you can rent a boat at the pier in front of Wat Khao Daeng and embark on a journey along the canal that takes about 1.5 hours round trip and covers a distance of 3-4 km. The best time to take the cruise is in the late afternoon around 4:30-5:00 p.m., when the weather is cooler and you can enjoy a beautiful sunset.


Khao Daeng View Point

To get the best views, it’s recommended to visit the Khao Daeng View Point early in the morning around 5:30 a.m. Is very early but totally worth the view. From the top of one of the mountains of Khao Daeng, you’ll be able to see the sun rise above the edge of the Ban Khao Daeng sea and take in the stunning surrounding scenery. The total walking distance to the viewpoint is about 500 meters and it takes about 30 minutes to walk there.


Thap Sakae District

Sugarpalm Wood Ubosot, Wat Ang Suwan

The Sugarpalm Wood Ubosot is an amazing and beautiful temple that was built using more than 10,000 sugar palm trees and took 7 years to complete. The sugar palm wood used in its construction is aged 70-100 years or more, which gives it great strength and durability. Inside the ubosot, there is a highly revered Buddha image called “Luang Pu Sai”, which is an old standing Buddha image carved from banyan wood that is over 200 years old. The villagers in the area believe that Luang Pu Sai is holy, and many people come to the temple to pay homage and ask for blessings, especially when they are feeling unwell or agitated.

Khlong Chong Lom Reservoir

Khlong Chong Lom Reservoir, Khao Lan is a reservoir that was created as part of a royal initiative project led by His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej the Great. The purpose of the project was to help alleviate the suffering of the people in the dry season when there is a shortage of water for consumption, especially in agriculture, and to address the problem of flooding in the rainy season. In addition to serving an important practical purpose, the reservoir also offers beautiful scenery surrounded by the complex mountain ranges of Khao Lan. This makes it a source of recreation for the villagers and an interesting tourist attraction in the Thap Sakae District.


Wat Huai Luek

If you are traveling by road to the south, you are sure to be struck by the giant golden swan arch that stands out in front of the entrance to Wat Huai Luek. This giant swan statue is located next to Petchkasem Road on the inbound side of Bangkok in the Thap Sakae District and faces the road with its mouth extended towards the middle of the road. The swan, or Hong, was built before the road was expanded, and there are many mystical stories about it. Regardless of the mystery, the Hong is a beautiful landmark of the Thap Sakae District that is worth stopping to admire. If you see this swan, it means you have arrived in the Thap Sakae District. Wat Thung Kled

Wat Thung Kled is a temple that is known for its ordination hall made of baht medals, which is the first of its kind in Thailand. The outside wall of the building is adorned with 3.7 million baht coins, and the inside is decorated with 300,000 10 baht coins. Bang Saphan District

Baan Krood Beach

Baan Krood Beach is a long beach that is divided into two parts: Ban Krut Nuea Beach and Ban Krut Tai Beach. The beaches are separated by Khao Thong Chai. Ban Krut Nuea Beach is located further north of Khao Thong Chai and is a private beach with no roads. The more popular of the two beaches is Ban Krut Tai Beach, also known as Baan Krood Beach. One of the signature features of Baan Krood Beach is the red Baan Krood Beach sign and the small white kilo located in the area. Wat Tang Sai

Wat Tang Sai is located on Khao Pak Thong Chai and Rim Talay Ban Krut and is home to some important sanctuaries and sacred objects. Khao Lom Muak

Khao Lom Muak is a 300-meter high limestone mountain located next to the sea within the Wing 5 airforce base area, near Ao Manao. It offers a beautiful 360-degree view of Ao Noi, Ao Prachuap, and Ao Manao bays, as well as the Gulf of Thailand, Prachuap town, and Khao Ta Mong Lai Forest Park. Visitors must be physically fit to hike up the rocky mountain, which involves a rope climb to the top. The viewpoint at the top is worth the tiring climb, with stunning views that will leave you amazed. Please note that the mountain is not open for visits year-round, but only during times when it is safe for tourists.


Kui Buri District

Kui Buri National Park

Kui Buri National Park, located in the Kui Buri District, is home to a variety of wildlife, including wild elephants and gaur (also known as Indian bison). Surrounded by the complex mountain ranges of the Tanaosri Mountains, the park is known for being one of the best spots to watch wild elephants in Thailand. Many tourists visit the park each day to see the herds of animals, giving it a safari-like feel. The park is surrounded by fertile forests and is a great place to observe and learn about the local wildlife.


Yang Chum Reservoir

Yang Chum Reservoir is an irrigation project initiated by King Rama IX. It is located in a mountainous area and offers beautiful views of the surrounding mountains. Visitors can drive to the reservoir and park to take in the views and enjoy the fresh, cool morning air. In the evening, on clear days, you may also be able to catch a beautiful sunset. The reservoir is also a popular spot for goats from nearby villages to graze, so you may have the chance to see a herd of goats while you are there.
