It is a beautiful temple that houses several important objects, including a large Ceylon pagoda containing the relics of the Lord Buddha and a nine-meter tall statue of Buddha made from nine crore of metal. Within the temple, there is also the Gu clan, a group of small castle-shaped structures that contain the bones of northern lords. The structures are beautifully arranged and organized.
Wat Umong
Wat Umong is an ancient temple in Chiang Mai, known for its peaceful, shaded setting within a natural forest. Wat Ban Den, also known by its full name “Wat Den Saree Sri Muang Gan,” is located in the Mae Taeng District of Chiang Mai Province. The temple is situated on a hill surrounded by beautiful landscapes and features spacious grounds with a variety of buildings, including an ubosot, trai hall, drum tower, Inthakhin pillar, golden teak cloister, Lanna-style stupa, and a pavilion containing a model of a famous Thai monk.
